Answer these simple questions to find out:

  1. Are you willing to spend 8-12% of your budget for design services?
  2. Are you looking for a design firm that offers a full level of service from design conception to complete installation?
  3. Will you be able to work closely with a designer who will bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to your project?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then the next step would be to schedule a FREE Design Discovery Phone Consultation with Denyne Sanville to discuss your project further.

During this call we’ll get to know your needs better and explore all the options on how we can help you.

How do you charge for your services?

With over 30 years experience in the interior design industry, we have found our client’s design needs usually fall within one of the four levels of design service packages that we offer:

  • DESIGN CONSULTATION
  • DESIGN DIY
  • DESIGN GUIDE
  • DESIGN CONCIERGE

Which design package is best for you?

Design Consultation – A design consultation gives you an Interior Designer’s expertise for a limited time at a reasonable price. Think of a design consultation as a house call to discuss the possibilities for your home’s interior and answer any pressing design questions that you may have.  We spend up to 2 hours with you during the design consultation for a fee of $300 which includes a report of the recommendations made during our time together .

Package pricing for Design DIY and Design Guide levels are based on the complexity of the project, the number of rooms and number of design concept options requested:

Design DIY – This level of service is for the client looking to engage the services of an experienced interior designer, who needs a complete set of design plans and material specifications for their project but wants to do the shopping, installation and scheduling themselves.

Design Guide –  This is for the client who is looking for a Design Guide  – someone who can be their go-to expert and guide them throughout the entire project. This level of service offers offers everything at the DIY level from plans to material specifications but takes it many steps further. It also includes a fixed number of shopping hours with Denyne Sanville to select the perfect materials for your project, a minimum of two design concept options,  preparation of detailed material/installation proposals and budgets, phone and email support, as well as weekly on-site meetings of the project in process.

Design Concierge –  This level of service is offered for the client who wants the entire project done for them, and is looking for a custom outcome. This is the “red carpet” level of our service offering and is quoted on a project by project basis per your specific needs.

There are times when your project may not fit within the parameters of these design service packages. The best way to determine what’s right for you is to contact us to schedule a FREE Design Discovery Phone Consultation . This is where we will discuss your project in detail and help you decide what is the best fit for your needs.

What to Expect

Think of a design consultation as a house call to discuss the possibilities for your home’s interior and answer any pressing design questions that you may have.  We spend up to 2 hours with you during the design consultation for a fee of $300 which includes a report of the recommendations made during our time together . This fee includes travel within a 30 minute radius of our Dunstable MA office. A fee for travel beyond this distance will be assessed based on your location.

We’ve found the best place to start is by having a conversation to get to know you, your lifestyle and your needs. We will assess your home from a design perspective, talk about what’s working and what isn’t, and discuss specific changes you’d like to make. At this meeting we’re exploring possibilities and giving you specific solutions on changes that could be made right away.

Depending on the project’s complexity it may be determined that an investment in a design service package may be needed beyond our two hour consultation. These options will be presented during the design consultation if needed.

Getting The Most From Your Design Consultation

Since our time together is limited, its VERY IMPORTANT that we both are prepared ahead of time to make the most of every minute we have together. Preparing the following items will help us give you the most useful recommendations in the least amount of time:

  • Gather images of spaces that you like which represent the style of how you envision your new living space. Write notes as to what caught your eye. Idea files can be created from websites like Houzz, Pinterest, HGTV, House Beautiful, etc. or can be actual tear sheets from magazines that you have collected.
  • A list of what you specifically don’t like about your current space and the problems you are experiencing now.
  • What are your goals for the space? A wish list of how you want the space to flow, functional and feel
  • A list of the items that will be staying within the space
  • Consider your budget, time frame and scope of the project

What are the steps in a design project?

Our signature Design Discovery System is a comprehensive process that our founder, Denyne Sanville, developed from three decades of experience working with clients to create a home that is a unique reflection of who you are and what you love.

Step 1: DISCOVERY, ANALYSIS & DOCUMENTATION- What isn’t working in your home right now? Why do you want to change it? How to you want your new space to look and feel? These are just some of the questions we’ll explore as we go deeper and discover exactly why you are unhappy with your home. Next comes a really BIG analysis where we go big and go deep looking at 7 specific areas to see what is currently working and what isn’t in your home. Finally we thoroughly document the existing space through pictures and detailed dimensions to create a visual file for future reference.

Step 2: VISIONING – 90% of the time this is where people get stuck. They have no clue how to change their space and no idea on what they really desire it to look and feel like. Does this sound like you? In this step we use many of the tools in our toolbox to help you discover what your heart longs for in your new space. This is our favorite part of the system – it’s where we get to play, dream and have fun.

Step 3:   CREATE – Now we’re ready to create a design concept plan. This is all the stuff you’ve seen on HGTV: when a floor plan is created and design options are selected to show you the vision we have for your newly designed space. Using great design tools, like our CAD modeling program, your design is presented in stunning full color 3D which allows us to fine tune it before one item is purchased and one hammer is lifted.

Step 4: FINE TUNE – During this phase we are fine tuning the plans so the schematics become fixed, we are also shopping for all the project materials and obtaining installation quotes to create a final budget and timeline for the project.

Step 5: DOCUMENTATION, APPROVALS & ORDERING  – All final project documents are created and approved in this phase. Final floor plans, elevation and 3D views, project specifications, proposals and project timelines are created so materials can be ordered and workmen can be scheduled.

Step 6: IMPLEMENTATION – This is the step where everything comes to life. Working closely with vendors and workmen we implement everything in a systematic way to keep the project on time and on budget.

Step 7: FOLLOW UP – This last step is  one of the most important, because it is where the rubber meets the road. Our goal is for you to be thrilled with the outcome of the design we have created, and it is in these final details where our dedication to customer service shines thru.
